PK. Sherpa (PART 1)

Supreme Master Godangel on the Top of the WORLD

By P. K. Sherpa, The Cameraman
                                                                                                                Date: 23/05/2011

On the 19th of May, around 8:00 we headed to the Highest peak of the World, “THE EVEREST,” from south cole. We were 5 of us in the Team: (1) SMG, (2) Me P.K. Sherpa, a Cameraman, (3) Mr. Karma  Gyalgen Sherpa, a Climbing Sherpa, (4) Mr. Danuru Sherpa, a Climbing Sherpa, and (5) Pasang Sherpa in the replacement of Rinjai Sherpa who was initially called on as a climbing Sherpa but later on could not climb up the Everest due to his health reason.

When we started up our victorious journey, other many teams had already started their snow-path voyage to the Chomolungma. It was ironic that they had started their journey before us the fact that we thought we would start our journey first since we wanted to reach the Chomolungma before anybody reaches their on the 20th of May. The reason was, Master wanted to offer a prayer to Chomolungma before anybody place their foot on the 20th of May. The delay happened due to the unwillingness of some of our climbing Sherpas to pack up the bags sooner and wait for the time to depart rather than vice versa; or rather than wait for the time and pack the things up.

Surprisingly, Master started his walk first and nobody from our Team could meet him. He was like the fire burning up having tendency towards the sky and no one could prevent it from its blazing brilliant flame. The more you want to stop the big fire the more with its blistering fire does it come back. Two climbing Sherpas, Mr. Karma  and Mr. Danuru according to themselves had to run and run and run for about 15 minutes or so to catch up with Master.
While I and Mr. Pasang Sherpa, the person who replaced Rinjai, were left behind, three of them were being seen up and up there and bit more up there and eventually they were gone out of the site as if the sun vanishes out from the scene later in the evening after having throwing its shine blatantly during the day.

Master, along with other two Sherpas, overtook all the climbing members and Sherpas on that day and left them way behind as per the witnesses that were fortunate to have the glance of Master, and as per the experiences told by involved Sherpas themselves: Mr. Karma  and Mr. Danuru.
Please do not make a mistake in thinking that Pasang and I were slow climbing ones so that we were left behind. The fact was that Master was (is) really fast so nobody could catch up with him except Mr. Karma and Mr. Danuru who have more experience of climbing the Everest for about 8 or 9 times. But I also honestly think that Master granted them a blessing secretly so that they could run as fast as the Master. I, being a Cameraperson, should have been with Master really. But it was night time anyway so could have no chance of taking pictures or movies for that matter.
